Global Publisher Migrates to Both Private and Public Clouds
Client Problem Statement
A global publisher faced the challenge of meeting rapidly growing IT demands due to an expanding global user base. The central IT organization struggled to respond swiftly to business needs, and public cloud deployments yielded inconsistent results in terms of availability, manageability, and performance. Additionally, operational challenges arose from the complexity of managing siloed and variant platforms, architectures, and providers, compounded by stringent performance, security, and compliance requirements.
Digitech and Their Solution
Digitech Services devised a comprehensive multi cloud strategy and roadmap to address the publisher's challenges. By leveraging both private cloud and AWS, Digitech implemented common cloud reference architectures and patterns, mapping IaaS and PaaS services to both private and public clouds. An application portfolio assessment and decision framework was established, along with a multi cloud operational model and toolset. This approach enabled the deployment of a multicloud self-service catalog across both public and private clouds, standardized reusable application architectures, and facilitated rapid application migration to the public cloud. The publisher's IT organization became cloud-ready, with processes and structures to support an Agile/DevOps/Cloud SDLC approach to application development. This transformation resulted in improved agility, efficiency, and the ability to meet the growing demands of their global user base.
