A leading enterprise aimed to modernize its IT operations by establishing a zero-footprint data center and migrating a subset of its applications and associated data to AWS. The client faced the challenge of efficiently transitioning their existing infrastructure to the cloud while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. They needed a comprehensive strategy and expert guidance to navigate the complexities of cloud migration, address potential gaps, and train their technical teams for future scalability and governance.

Digitech and Their Solution

Digitech Services stepped in to facilitate the client's cloud transformation journey. The solution involved migrating the client's Alpha applications and associated environments from their existing data center to AWS. Digitech provided detailed remediation recommendations to optimize operations on AWS and guided the client's team to accelerate the Beta migration phase. A thorough review of the remaining 200+ applications was conducted, followed by a gap analysis to create a strategic roadmap for migrating these applications to AWS. As a result, ten sample applications were successfully migrated to the AWS public cloud, establishing Migration Factory procedures for future migrations. Additionally, Digitech conducted a toolset analysis, provided AWS training and best practices for the technical teams, and significantly increased flexibility and elasticity across multiple regions, ensuring a smooth and sustainable transition to the cloud.
